Local Production Company Visits
Campus to Shoot Reebok Ad

The Old Westbury
campus got a taste of Madison Avenue advertising last week when Debbie Regan
Locations, a local film scouting company, brought the cast and crew for the
latest Reebok Athletic television commercial to campus. Among the notables
included in the commercial were rap music stars Jay-Z and T.I. along with Mark
Cuban, owner of the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association and
NBA players Kenyon Martin and Jamal Crawford. With Segway people movers and the
latest in fitness equipment, the Campus Center Atrium was retrofitted to appear
as a high-tech laboratory. At the same time, the Maguire Theater stage was
converted to an airport runway where the athletes took flight towards a hoop
fixed at one end. Kudos to Panther Basketball player Dan Kane, who was asked to
take part in the shoot. The commercial was being shot to promote the newest
addition to the Reebok sneaker line, but information on air dates, channels and
times were kept hush-hush by the producers. We'll keep you posted as we learn
